🔸 Name: Tbilisi Honey Festival 2023 📍 Venue: Mtatsminda Park, Tbilisi 🗓️ Dates: June 24 th , 2023, from 2pm to 9pm & June 25 th , 2023, from 11am to 7pm ▶️ Organizer: The Georgian Beekeepers Union (GBU) Supporter(s): Tbilisi City Hall, Mtatsminda Park ▶️ Facilitator: SDC, ADC, Sweden funded Mercy Corps ALCP2 ▶️ Participants: Georgian honey and other bee product producers, beekeepers associations, honey inputs and service providers (vet pharmacies, beehive producers, wax producers, honey shops), botanical gardens and honey plant nurseries. ▶️ Tbilisi Honey Festival will highlight the diversity, scale, and successes of the Georgian Honey sector achieved over the last seven years. ▶️ The festival will be held in Tbilisi on June 24 th 2023 from 2pm to 9pm and on June 25 th 2023 from 11am to 7pm and is being organized by the Georgian Beekeepers Union which currently unites 31 members: 9 beekeeping associations and 22 commercial beekeeping companies. There are over 5,650 beekeepers, of whom 548 are women, throughout Georgia under the umbrella of the Union. ▶️ There will be a diverse range of stalls offering everything from honey tasting to cosmetics, beekeeping inputs, natural health and garden products and traditional and climate-adapted beehives. Botanical gardens and nurseries will display their honey plants. There will be live music and children’s entertainment. ▶️ The opening ceremony is at: 14:00 pm, June 24 th , 2023, Mtatsminda Park, Tbilisi ✅ The Georgian Beekeepers Union is facilitated by the Mercy Corps Georgia implemented ALCP2 programme, which is funded by the Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC) in cooperation with the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and Sweden.
