On June 24, 2023, the Gurian wine festival, which was founded in Chokhatauri in 2022, is held in the village of Khidistavi. The event aims to promote the wine produced from Guria endemic varieties and to develop viticulture in Guria. At the festival, there will be an exhibition and sale of Gurian culinary products, wineries and participating wine-producing companies (from different regions). The event will feature the performance of Gurian folk dances, the Kutaisi brass band, and the traditional ceremony of "Churi" opening.
