"Pesvebi" (Roots in Georgian) is a brand of traditional Georgian rugs and modern accessories made with the same technology, which is the only workshop in Georgia with the experience of dyeing with natural paints. All products of "Pesvebi" are handmade, which emphasizes their authenticity and uniqueness. The "Pesvebi" group was created in November 2005, after it won the small grant competition announced by the Center for the Development of Protected Areas of Eastern Georgia: "Restoration of Traditional Handicrafts" sponsored by the World Bank and the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The purpose of the group's activity was to restore and develop traditional Kizikuri handicrafts based on historical ethnographic sources, to promote the employment of women and girls, to establish a viable workshop. During the course of the project, each participant mastered different techniques of carpet and tapestry weaving, making different accessories from it. Valuable works were created. Even today, the work and training process is constantly going on in the workshop. For young people who are interested in traditional needlework, practical and theoretical training is constantly held. The team consists of eight local women, including one with a disability. Since its establishment, the products of "Pesvebi" have enjoyed popularity both in the local and international markets. He has participated in many exhibitions and competitions.

During the visit, visitors can see the Georgian rug showroom and hear a story about the workshop and weaving history. During the master class, an experienced master will show you the process of weaving a rug on a loom, explain the stages of its production, as well as a master class on dyeing with natural dyes. Guests have the opportunity to participate in the weaving and dyeing process and purchase a souvenir on the spot. Upon prior request, local family wine tasting and local, authentic dishes are available.
